C\u2019est pour la tester sur un terrain g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux 4&#215;4. Fortes chaleurs, dunes de sables et obstacles\u00a0: dans l\u2019\u00e9mirat de Ras El Kha\u00efmah, le SUV phare de la marque nous a montr\u00e9 ce qu\u2019il a dans le ventre. Certaines poussent m\u00eame leur \u00e9rudition jusqu\u2019\u00e0 se renseigner sur le sens du V (6 \u2013 8 \u2013 12) inscrit sur le moteur, signe d\u2019une puissance presque trop masculine pour qu\u2019on y fourre notre minois bien poudr\u00e9. Pourtant, tout est dans le test, dans la ma\u00eetrise de la b\u00eate, en particulier pour ces SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), nouvelle manne des constructeurs automobiles, et qu\u2019on pourrait d\u00e9crire comme des croisements entre monospace et 4&#215;4. S\u2019ils sont vendus comme des v\u00e9hicules plut\u00f4t urbains, s\u00e9curisants et aptes \u00e0 accueillir marmaille, valises et courses en un seul voyage, certains, comme la Maserati Levante, ont bien plus \u00e0 offrir. D\u2019o\u00f9 ce drive-test sur route et sur dunes des deux versions 2018\u00a0: la GranLusso et la GranSport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ces derni\u00e8res partagent de nombreuses qualit\u00e9s\u00a0: stables, luxueuses, extr\u00eamement confortables et toutes deux bard\u00e9es de nouvelles options. La prise en main est d\u2019une grande simplicit\u00e9, tant pour l\u2019ajustement du volant que des si\u00e8ges \u00e0 12 r\u00e9glages \u00e9lectriques. Je rep\u00e8re ais\u00e9ment les fonctionnalit\u00e9s de base avant de m\u2019attaquer aux nouveaut\u00e9s que sont le syst\u00e8me de fermeture autonome des portes, l\u2019alerte en cas de pr\u00e9sence d\u00e9tect\u00e9e dans les angles morts, la reconnaissance des panneaux de signalisation, l\u2019assistance sur autoroute ou encore le d\u00e9tecteur de franchissement de ligne. Une fonction test\u00e9e sur l\u2019Emirates Road, autoroute principale et tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e des Emirats Arabes Unis, tout comme sur les routes nationales \u00e9miriennes\u00a0: le syst\u00e8me durcit le volant d\u00e8s que l\u2019on d\u00e9rive d\u2019une ligne continue. L\u2019effet est un peu surprenant au d\u00e9but mais a le m\u00e9rite de vous rappeler \u00e0 l\u2019ordre. Quant au moteur, un V6 biturbo de 3 litres, ce dernier d\u00e9veloppe 350 chevaux sur la GranLusso et jusqu\u2019\u00e0 430 chevaux sur la GranSport en version essence (250 et 275 ch en diesel). Plus de nerf, donc, pour la version sport et\u2026 plus d\u2019enivrement \u00e0 faire vrombir la b\u00eate et sa bo\u00eete \u00e0 vitesse \u00e0 8 rapports. En mode manuel, manettes actives au volant, on s\u2019autorise une petite pointe \u00e0 180 km\/h \u2013totalement interdite sur les routes \u00e9miriennes\u00a0! Et on savoure la pinc\u00e9e d\u2019adr\u00e9naline et le sentiment de libert\u00e9 qui s\u2019ensuit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>D\u00e9tails de la Maserati Levante MY18 dans le sable fin. J\u2019oublie vite le paysage \u00e0 couper le souffle et les chameaux dodelinant sur le bas-c\u00f4t\u00e9, me laissant gagner par le challenge de r\u00e9ussir, \u00e0 coups de volants abrupts de gauche \u00e0 droite, le d\u00e9sensablage. L\u2019embl\u00e9matique vrombissement des Maserati peut \u00e9galement d\u00e9sorienter\u00a0: pensant pousser le moteur dans ses retranchements, je m\u2019arr\u00eate lorsque l\u2019instructeur m\u2019enjoint en fait de garder le pied ferme sur l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur et de continuer la man\u0153uvre. Marche arri\u00e8re sur une pente raide puis acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration continue et nous voil\u00e0 au sommet, avant de repartir surfer sur les dunes mouvantes, jets de sable sur le pare-brise et moteur \u00e0 plein r\u00e9gime. Preuve que ce SUV offrant 4 modes de conduite (normal, sport, neige et off-road) est bien plus qu\u2019une voiture de luxe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>D\u00e9tails de la
